Feng Shui Life

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

This article explains a few things about Feng Shui, and if you’re interested, then this is worth reading, because you can never tell what you don’t know.

Ask any good Feng shui master. He will tell you that everything has energy: objects, the air, the earth, all the elements, and even thoughts have energies. The person is one of the better sources of energy, too. A person’s energy is a determinant of bad Feng shui or good Feng shui. What we think, how we react to things, the attitudes that we place on events and those surrounding us, they could influence what is beneficial and what is not.

I have heard a famous Feng shui master once in a television show just before a New Year was to start. The master was asked, “What is the best Feng shui remedy? The master answered, “The heart of a person, everything else is secondary to it. If you have a good heart, you have very little to fear.”

In a nutshell what he was saying throughout most of the second half of the show was that “a good heart can counterbalance the entire negative chi that will be thrown on the person”. Feng shui however are excellent aids to a better life in that since nothing is perfect, attracting additional energies that would bring us into better harmony with our surroundings and the people on it must be drawn to our improvement. It follows then that even with the best Feng shui, people’s lives could still be miserable when it is not coupled with the intentions of harmonizing with anything and everything.

Since the essence of a Feng shui life is harmonious interrelationships and attitudes, it is not enough to have the best Feng shui house with spacious bright hall effect frontage when poison arrows from your corner inadvertently points at a house fronting yours. The occupants opposite yours could take vengeful cures.

Sometimes the most important aspects of a subject are not immediately obvious. Keep reading to get the complete picture.

Even the best of decorations and symbols that were placed inside your home may not be so potent, as you would expect, as these could take the energy of workers who made them. These are particularly true with mass produced items that have workers that are overworked and underpaid.

This is why even when you would want to live a good Feng shui life care must be taken.

The popularity of Feng shui today has also drawn out scammers and frauds that are always there waiting on the sidelines to pounce at any unsuspecting client that they could lay their paws on. To think that a good Feng shui life and guidance should start from a Feng shui consultant may to say the least, be taken with caution. This is where Feng shui life could start and draw its greatest effect.

The Feng shui consultant that is about to lead you into the life of Feng shui should be above reproach and you could easily know this by the successes that have been accomplished before. Forget about grand titles and the smiles. A good Feng shui consultant leads a good Feng shui life and this should endow them with humility.

Because a Feng shui life basically starts with respect, it is the humility of accepting that there are forces in nature that one has to live in accordance with. It is a life that goes with the flow of things the way they are instead of dominating and controlling them. Living a Feng shui life is not a life of yes or no. Neither is it always black or white. Rather, Feng shui life is living, prepared to make compromises if that could enhance the ability to go with what is natural and with what is beautiful.

Reasons why You Should Try a Feng Shui Crystal

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

It does not really matter whether you are a believer of Feng shui or not. Besides, it is not that easy to part with good money on matters that you may still have doubts about. People who have a good working knowledge of Feng shui will need no more egging on, they know. Still, for the uninitiated, Feng shui crystal is a good and inexpensive starting point to feed that curiosity.

It also gives an assurance to start with something that is closely similar to what a person currently believes in. Feng shui crystals, for its entire oriental connotation has similar uses in many other parts of the world. It was used in ancient times for its healing qualities. A myth even extends its usage in Atlantis. Americans Indians use it for healing, the aborigines has similar uses for it. The Europeans use it for trade and if that were not enough, it could serve as a very good accessory to casual attire in place of the more expensive gemstones.

In Feng shui though, depending on its shape and color, it is a cure for illnesses. If one is not ill, Feng shui crystals still attract the energies that are abundant in nature to achieve more balance whether it is in any undertaking or those that are emotional in orientation.

Because Feng shui crystals gathers the energy in nature, similar to what gemstones do, it becomes a very inexpensive way of gathering vibrations that influences the body’s aura’s and chakras, helping in relaxation, curing illnesses and in balancing the emotions.

Sometimes the most important aspects of a subject are not immediately obvious. Keep reading to get the complete picture.

Unlike the ancient world where there is so much time in the hands to enjoy and relax, today, living has almost become synonymous to being active. Where time is almost always budgeted to fit to a schedule where the next activity could be filled in. Where most live to work to earn the money enough to get a vacation knowing that during that vacation the thoughts would inadvertently be revert on unfinished work. Relaxation has now become a luxury that no one could really afford.

Try the Feng shui crystals then. If you can afford that time management seminar where you will be thought how to work, try one where you will be helped to relax. It is only fitting and reasonable aside from being inexpensive.
Even when your drift are only geared towards those that could be explained, measured and has a scientific basis, you could still try it for accessory and when the Feng shui crystal is the right one, it will give forth its effect even when you do not believe in it.

Selecting a Feng shui crystal that is right for you are quite easy. Colors and cuts rule the different crystals and its benefits although you do not really have to give this much thought. You can go to any Feng shui store and in most cases the different kinds are written and displayed (usually beneath a crystal) and explained together with the uses and the benefits that you could get from it. Feng shui crystals come in the form of bracelets, anklets, necklaces, brooches or just plain stand-alone crystals.

As mentioned, cultures have been using crystals for ages now. If no benefits are derived from it, it would then have already become a myth and the benefits might as well have been forgotten. It is not happening and for a very good reason – the durability of a belief is a proof of its validity.

Implementing the Feng Shui Wealth Cures

Sunday, March 27th, 2011

Everyone has a wealth-generating zone. The zone is according to the directions in the eight mansions formula of Feng shui. But because there are no fixed positions in the Feng shui, the corner where the wealth zone is most favorable depends on the kua number of a person and sometimes the period or timing by which the reading is determined. So before assigning the wealth zone (also known as the Sheng chi) in your home according to Feng shui’s general principles, know first what is your kua number. When the direction of the sheng chi is tapped accurately, the improvements of income and career will follow more easily.

When the specific sheng chi zone is located you could start placing the symbols, colors and decorations that are appropriate to aid the chi in focusing its energies here. Use the bagua map during the determination of the zone and the elements that are to be allocated in the area.

Remember though that in Feng shui, nothing is very permanent. The zone that is appropriate to you during the time of reading may not be the same several years from now. Your kua number though is your personal number and it is a fixed guide. Your zones could change but your kua number does not.

The following are kua numbers and the directions that they are most appropriate in gathering the chi that is generated by your surroundings.

For persons with kua number that is equivalent to 1 the southeast is your sheng chi direction. Choose a room within the house that is located in this direction where you can conduct income-related activity.

For those whose kua number is 2, your sheng chi direction is the northeast. When you are planning wealth-generating activity, focus them in this direction.

If you base what you do on inaccurate information, you might be unpleasantly surprised by the consequences. Make sure you get the whole Feng Shui story from informed sources.

When your kua number is 3 and are working for improvements on careers and income, you are supposed to be in the south sector.

For people with kua number 4, direct you activities in the north sector.

When you have a kua number that is equivalent to 5, the direction that is favorable to you will depend on your gender. If male be in the northeast and when a female you are in your best position when you are in the northeast portion.

Persons with kua number 6 must work their way at fame and fortune in the west. For those with kua number 7 do your activities in the northwest side of your home. Eight will be good working their goals in the southwest while for the 9′s; you are attracting wealth best in the eastern zone.

The kua numbers are excellent gauges not only in determining your personal zones in the house. It could also apply anywhere. When you are at the office and you are a manager or have a position that has to do with finance, insist on these positions. The only glitch though is when your superior treats Feng shui as nothing more than superstitious gobbledygook. Then don’t tell. The point will not sink in.

Nonetheless, for your own and your position at the office’s sake, try to insist in the positions that are indicated by your kua number. Not only will it spell a better income flow it be easier for you in dealing with matters that are related to cash flows.

Designing a Feng Shui Classroom

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

In Feng shui, all areas have their energy fields. The best indicator to harmonize with these fields is the bagua map. What does the bagua tells you according to the different zones in a space. The indicators must be followed so that you are in harmony with the environment and the forces around you.

The bagua map as applied to a classroom brings similar results. Here’s how.

Pay close attention to the way the furniture, desks, board, tables, and chairs are arranged. The arrangements should coincide with what the bagua map indicates. Know that there are five basic elements in Feng shui, the fire, water, earth, metal and wood. Once you know what the bagua map indicates, the things that you bring to the classroom and how you arrange them should be in harmony with these elements.

Arranging the classroom according to what the quadrants in the octagon in the bagua indicates will improve the results that you want to achieve in it.

There are occasions though that you cannot arrive at an open position in the classroom that is in accordance with your bagua map. This may be due to the limitation of space, the basic design and structure and the positioning of the classroom. If this is the case, you can still arrange the classroom in the conventional style that has rows of desks arranged one in front of the other and in a lined way. This is still okay provided you place objects and decorations that coincide with what the bagua map require, but keep this kind of arrangement as a second option. The best way will always have the classroom arranged in line with the zones that the bagua map indicates.

The Feng shui compass should also be employed, as this will indicate the most favorable position according to the eight compass directions. The information that could be derived here will enable you to find out the best orientation of the classroom and its furnishings.

Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following:

Other important things that should highly be considered is that the teacher must always have a line of vision that will enable him to look at all directions and a position where the back is not turned to the door.

The teacher is the most influential person in the classroom. Even with the limitation of design, the desk that he is working on should be according to the bagua map.

As with any space, sharp corners and protrusions in the wall disturbs the flow of chi. avoid a position whereby students will be in direct line with it.

Do something about open beams if there are any. The chi flows in a way that whoever would be positioned directly below the beam will suffer the extra pressure that is generated in those beams.

Students, especially the younger ones are good agents of clutter. One of the best things that the teacher has to do is to train the kids to avoid cluttering and dirtying the classroom. A Clutter free classroom is not only good Feng shui it is also an assurance that you are putting them out of harms way.

Classrooms are often students second home. It is only fitting for them to have a classroom that follows the principles of Feng shui.

Now you can understand why there’s a growing interest in Feng Shui. When people start looking for more information about Feng Shui, you’ll be in a position to meet their needs.

Improving the Workflow through a Feng Shui Office Layout

Friday, February 25th, 2011

Office spaces today are very expensive especially when it is located in prime locations. This is one of the reasons why office spaces must be utilized and is normally designed with the end view of maximizing every space that is available.

Upfront this space utilization is very cost effective from the standpoint of office rentals. But then the constant rubbing of elbows of the employees could either result in office politicking, tension and friction that are also contributors to time wasters.

The Feng shui office layout tries as much as possible to veer away from the typical designs. As with everything else related with Feng shui, the main concern will be harmony and the harmonizing of all the elements as well and allowing the free flow of the chi which in turn results to the feeling of well being of its occupants.

Examples of the Feng shui office designs are the following:

? The four-leaf clover table arrangement.

Not only are four leaf clovers symbols of good fortune, this type of table arrangement allows each individual to sit in a position that he is best suited. When individuals are seated in directions as determined by his kua, the chances that the person will be at his working best is greatly increased.

? The Sheng Chi and the Fu Wei sitting orientation.

The office staff plays different roles. To enhance the roles, another option for a Feng shui office layout is to direct the sitting and table orientation of the staff according to the direction that are conducive to maximizing good Feng shui. In this Feng shui office layout, the managers will be facing the wealth direction or the Sheng chi. For the entry level and most rank and file positions, their direction will be oriented to the personal development or the Fu Wei direction.

Sometimes the most important aspects of a subject are not immediately obvious. Keep reading to get the complete picture.

? The Dragons Path.

In Feng shui, the dragon is believed to bring good luck, prosperity and wealth, the bigger the dragon, the better the chances of the symbol to bring in success. Creating a traffic flow that winds through the office simulates the dragon’s path. Carpets, pebbles, tiles, wood etc. could be used as the river that is regarded as the path of the dragon.

Aside from the general layout of the Feng shui office, symbols that represent the bringing in of wealth are also integrated in the Feng shui office design.

? Avoiding the poison arrows.

The poison arrows are more likely to be found in cramped office spaces but nonetheless has to be checked out and avoided at all cost. Sharp objects, exposed sharp corners of walls, the corner of a desk of a co-worker, edges of cabinets, even the thorn of a cactus plant must not be placed in a direct path to where you are sitting.

? The wall behind you.

Whenever possible, workers and managers must be sitting with a solid wall behind them. It is never advisable in Feng shui office design to sit behind a glass window. If this cannot be avoided, a poster or painting of a mountain will have to cover the glass window to provide a symbol of solidity and rigidity.

? The energy flow.

Like any Feng shui design, the Feng shui office should be laid out in such a way that there is a continuous flow of the chi inside the rooms and work areas. Enough spaces should be provided and not blocked, exposed beams and clutter should be avoided. Pathways especially the ones leading to the doors and entranceways must be cleared and unobstructed.

The day will come when you can use something you read about here to have a beneficial impact. Then you’ll be glad you took the time to learn more about Feng Shui.

The Feng Shui Compass

Friday, February 18th, 2011

Ask any good Feng shui consultant and they will tell you that there are no fixed cures for all positions in Feng shui. A good Feng shui house for example may be good during the time it was constructed, but in Feng shui everything is fluid. Time and things changes. Unlike science where there are fixed answers to questions that would be consistent and will give the same result over and over, Feng shui does not. But like science, Feng shui gives answers that are very specific, at least for a definite period of time. This is where the Feng shui compass or the lo pan is useful.

Any Feng shui design, decoration and orientation without using the Feng shui compass will only be a design preference. The orientation that are gathered and the designs and the decorations that are spent to follow a Feng shui principle will not give out its maximum effect. For some it would mean very little and with the passage of time it will amount to nothing.

While it is true that there are eight basic compass direction, a Feng shui compass reading goes far beyond that. For example, a Feng shui reading is dependent on time. There are 24 hours in a day and so there are 24 main divisions. A Feng shui’s time frame of effectivity is about 20 years. Multiply that and factor in the number of different floor plan layouts and your answer to different Feng shui house types is actually infinite. Again there are no fixed cures; this is why the Feng shui compass is very important. It’s reading will determine the particular map of energy of a specific type of house or an edifice. Another thing is that the effectivity of Feng shui is diminished and after 20 years, the energy flow that you once enjoyed will now is gone.

How can you put a limit on learning more? The next section may contain that one little bit of wisdom that changes everything.

It may not come as a surprise then why the harmony, prosperity and well being of the occupants in the house will now be very much altered than what it was 20 years ago. When the particular period has elapsed, it could be a time you will have to re map, do another reading and realign your house to the changed direction of the energy that is flowing.

Feng shui is exact. The answers are all very specific. What makes it confusing though is often the different level of expertise of the practitioners. The effectivity of the Feng shui reading will often depend on the depth of knowledge of the Feng shui consultant that you employ.

A Feng shui consultant who can provide readings and cure in a whiz may not often be the right consultant. When the readings are done without the aid of a Feng shui compass, start asking questions because the effectivity of Feng shui designs hangs largely on the accuracy of the reader.

You can make your own readings too. Feng shui compass reading and by extension, the practice of Feng shui is not really a very difficult art to master what it take is diligence. This way you could be in a better position to know whether your Feng shui consultant is doing a good job or not. In the Internet are many different stores to shop from. Often they are willing to provide help and instruction to their customers.

Now you can understand why there’s a growing interest in Feng Shui. When people start looking for more information about Feng Shui, you’ll be in a position to meet their needs.

Earth, Metal and Fire and Feng Shui?

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

The following article covers a topic that has recently moved to center stage–at least it seems that way. If you’ve been thinking you need to know more about it, here’s your opportunity.

Good Feng Shui means you have a balance of the five elements that compose the earth. Coversely, it also involves not having these elements overpower each other. Now, how do we really go about that? The basic principle on Feng Shui is heavily anchored on the five elements of the earth. In an ideal system, the five elements complement each other in a form of life cycle. If the environment fosters this positive nature that balances the five elements of the earth, then prosperity and good luck may not be far off.

Ideal System

The ideal system is where water produces wood, wood yields fire, and fire fashions the earth. Then, the earth forms the metal and the metal consequently produces the water. The overbearing and ugly system is when the elements contradict each other: wood burdens earth, fire destroys metal, earth hampers water, or water kills the fire. If you are able to see the visual properties of these elements, you may find that these arrangements prescribed by Feng Shui also make practical sense, even if you do not necessarily dig the concepts and foundations of Feng Shui.

Earth

You don’t have to be a geologist to understand good Feng Shui for earth. Earth is generally composed of ceramics and rocks. If you want a happy home, you must have a good dose of rocks and ceramics strategically placed in tune with the other elements that are present in your home. Lacking in earth, you may find yourself filled with instability and resilience that the earth is generally known for.

Metal

You can see that there’s practical value in learning more about Feng Shui. Can you think of ways to apply what’s been covered so far?

Electronic devices can actually have good feng shui as well. They are under the metal category, which not just brings in the technological advancements of this age but also the toughness brought about by metal materials in the different elements of Feng Shui. Make sure that metal is not colliding with fire elements, and this may even hold a practical significance because you wouldn’t want any of your electronic devices to catch fire!

Water

Zen fountains and the like form the water aspect of Feng Shui. Just ensure that water complements your metal. Overpowering your home with electronic appliances may actually appeal to the gadget junkie but not to the Feng Shui aficionado. Aside from the fact that water balances metal, you may also find that it has visual appeal if a person finds a Zen fountain in the midst of a sea of gadgets in the home which may be cool in function but not in appearance.

Fire

Candles and fireplaces are good examples of fire elements in Feng Shui. It may appear weird to put a fountain beside a fireplace for it contradicts that purpose, but many a movie had background sets with a fireplace and wooden furniture that is well ideal for a night of romance. Too much fire can actually drown the environment, so be very careful when lighting your environment. In business settings, it may also be advisable to tame down the effects of fire in the office. But it can be more unleashed in the personal setting, especially in romantic ones.

Wood

Wood is abundant in many places. Wooden furniture remain to be vintage to the Feng Shui expert. And this does not have to be only in the form of wooden furniture. Just by cultivating a garden in your home, you will be able to bring in a lot of wood that can help you balance the different elements.

That’s the latest from the Feng Shui authorities. Once you’re familiar with these ideas, you’ll be ready to move to the next level.

Feng Shui Basics

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

Applying feng shui basics in the home need not be that complicated. There are some ways in which this ancient practice can be used to make the home flow with positive energy or chi. Here are some of the basic feng shui practices that you need to know and can easily apply to make your home as well as your life filled with positive chi.

Light, Air and Feng Shui

In order to fill your home with good chi, you may need to have good quality air as well as lighting. In feng shui, it is believed that chi flows through with the help of air as well as natural light. Because of this, it is essential to make use of these two elements to ensure that the home flows with good chi. To allow the good energy into your home, you would need to open your windows often to let natural air into the home.

You can also use air purifying plants or an air purifier at home to make sure that the air remains clean and pure. Also try to allow as much natural light into your home to allow good chi to fill your home.

Unclutter Your Home

Is everything making sense so far? If not, I’m sure that with just a little more reading, all the facts will fall into place.

Clutter is a known obstacle to the flow of chi. It can have an effect on health as well as the overall energy levels and quality of life. Too much clutter can drain your energy as well as impede good energy from flowing into your home or life. Getting rid of the clutter can also help get rid of the negative load that affects your life. By clearing clutter, you are creating a harmonious environment in your home flowing with good energy.

Know Your Feng Shui Birth Element

In order to understand better how you can use feng shui to achieve a certain balance in your life and home, you might need to know your own birth element. There is a certain element that corresponds to your birth year. Knowing what element your are born with can help you decide on what is the best approach to achieve that certain balance in feng shui. You can use your feng shui birth element to introduce the different expressions of the element into your home through the use of colors and the balance of the other complementary elements in your life and home.

Know Your Kua Number

According to feng shui, each person has his or her own kua number that corresponds to one’s date of birth and gender. The kua number also tells of each person’s energy needs. In the school of feng shui called the Flying Stars, people may belong in either one of two energy groups- the East or the West. For the East Group, their kua numbers may either be 1, 3, 4 or 9.

For those on the West group, their kua numbers can either be 2,6,7 or 8. you can use your kua number to determine directions and orientation of structures such as your home or where you face when working in order to ensure good positive energy to flow through. These feng shui basics can help you start off in making your life and home flow with good chi.

Knowing enough about Feng Shui to make solid, informed choices cuts down on the fear factor. If you apply what you’ve just learned about Feng Shui, you should have nothing to worry about.

Feng Shui Decorating

Friday, January 21st, 2011

When you think about Feng Shui, what do you think of first? Which aspects of Feng Shui are important, which are essential, and which ones can you take or leave? You be the judge.

Basically, Feng shui decorating is conducted following guidelines that in effect will draw the potential of the eight compass points. Unlike the conventional method of decorating where aesthetics and the beatifying of spaces and creating a work of art that caters to the sense of sight, Feng shui decorating caters to the sense of feel.

To understand this better one has to have a good grasp on the influences that could be derived from the eight compass points so as to place objects there that are best representation of its potency.

Feng shui decorating encompasses a wealth of knowledge, derivatives and variables that to list them all here would far exceed the scope of this article. Suffice it to say that the following will focus on the generalities of the objects and accessories that are to be placed in every area of the house in order to get the most influence out of its every corner.

There are eight compass points and each push an influence that is unique to each other.
The points are The North, northeast, East, southeast, South, southwest, West and northwest.

The portion of the house that faces north is the place where music room, symbols of your aspirations and career and everything that speaks of personal and growth and development are best represented and placed. Use objects that carry its symbols but avoid those that are made earthy materials. Use instead materials that symbolize flow. Better yet place objects that represent water.

To the northeast will be objects that symbolize spirituality. Libraries are also best suited for this spot as well as stacks of books and objects that represent wisdom and knowledge. You can place objects here that are earth based.

Symbols for renewal, rebirth, health and healing best displayed in the eastern portion of the house. This is also the best spot for furniture that encourages family gathering and reunions and pep talks. Symbols and materials made of wood will sit very nicely here. Limit if not outright avoid the use of metallic objects and those made from metals.

See how much you can learn about Feng Shui when you take a little time to read a well-researched article? Don’t miss out on the rest of this great information.

The southeast is where the energy that ushers in prosperity and wealth is the strongest of all compass points. Money tress, plants with cylindrical leaves, fishes, and rounded objects will fit this area very well. Display here objects that symbolizes material possessions. This is also the best spot to place communication equipments and is a good place to conduct talks.

The southern corner of your house is where your dream could come true, a dream spot. The opportunities that you seek and hope for will have better chances at coming true if this corner is utilized by placing objects and accessories that represent those dreams, hopes and ambitions. Use objects representing fire and colors that are loud and fiery. Avoid anything that will connote water, as it will just act as a countermeasure for this area.

Enhance your love life in the southwestern portion of the house. Place objects and decorations that speak of romance and relationships. Conduct your dialogue with your partner in this area, have a romantic dinner this spot encourages pleasantries although you must avoid placing here wood based materials and use the color green to decorate.

This is the fun side, the happy side, the west side is. The western portion encourages creativity, games and laughter. This is a place for kids and innocence and brings out the child in us. Use symbols here that are fun. This is the place to nest entertain the guests.

The northwest is the more serious side. Conduct business affairs in this area and have symbols that represent it.

Finally, in everything that you may try to do, keep it simple, have clean lines while avoiding straight paths, keep it clean and clutter free.

Feng Shui Mirror: To Cure or not to Cure

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

This interesting article addresses some of the key issues regarding Feng Shui. A careful reading of this material could make a big difference in how you think about Feng Shui.

Even today, a Feng shui mirror draws controversy. What is not controversial about it though is its ability to reflect light to spots, which needed highlighting and illumination and the visual effects it creates. The beauty that it adds to the house, its decorative value, the extra space it generates and its functionality is both accepted whether by western oriented Feng shui thought or the traditional. A Feng shui mirror, no matter what the controversy that lies in its efficacy as a Feng shui cure, serves a good purpose. Feng shui mirrors should be employed whenever appropriate.

There are two opposing line of thoughts regarding a Feng shui mirror. Mainly it lies between whether a Feng shui mirror is a cure or not.

For people that contend that it is a cure, they believe that illuminating the house evenly is important in managing the chi. To leave a dark spot in the home and its perimeter would be compromising the chi’s distribution. A Feng shui mirror also acts as a cure to have them at posts and columns so that the flow of the energy inside a house or an establishment is corrected. The contention is that Feng shui mirrors placed in this manner works to deflect bad energy. The manner in which it is used in this way acts similar to the way a pain reliever does to the body.

On the other hand, those who do not believe it to be a cure argues that Feng shui is ruled only by five elements, The earth, wood, metal, fire and water as the foundations for curing issues inside an establishment or a house. Feng shui was started long before mirrors were created, what was used to reflect images then were materials that were made of bronze and other metals. To argue then that mirrors are Feng shui cures will have no firm foundation in Feng shui. Another issue that is advocated is that a mirror, no matter how thick it is never does not contain nor can it hold energy. Its main use is only to bounce a light. As this is a property of a mirror that is not controversial, let us hold this then a source by which a mirror could be used as an important aid in the practice of Feng shui.

Even distribution of light inside the house and appropriate illumination, is a very important component of Feng shui. When there are zones in the house that could use more light but are not possible with conventional lighting use the Feng shui mirror to remedy and brighten up the darker corners and spots.

The following are examples where Feng shui mirrors would serve as excellent aids when lighting is insufficient.

Truthfully, the only difference between you and Feng Shui experts is time. If you’ll invest a little more time in reading, you’ll be that much nearer to expert status when it comes to Feng Shui.

The southern portion is the zone of fame. This is where you should highlight your plans and goals and place Feng shui symbols that match your dreams. You would not want this portion to be dull.
When the light is not enough, a Feng shui mirror could help.

The southeast portion is the area of careers. A rectangular light represents development and growth. If it will be awkward to place a rectangular mirror on the wall, why not try a rectangular Feng shui mirror.

The family room is also a good place to add a Feng shui mirror.

There are other areas in the room that could use additional light. The reason why it is not mentioned here is that a Feng shui mirror might cause a deflection of energy depending on the light that is already present or the objects placed in it. The main point though is, in its own way, a Feng shui mirror do serve a good purpose other than just being decorative.
